Miss S came to us after a not being 100% happy with another vendor. She wasn’t sure what she wanted (as many brides don’t during a trial) so we tried a romantic bun on the side for starters. Turns out that it was exactly what she was looking for!

I got my hair “painted” with the Balayage technique at the Roy Teeluck Salon. I figured that I needed to treat myself to one nice, expensive salon because of my past bad experiences. If you mention Yelp, you get 20% off your entire service!
Since I was a full paying customer, I asked for a cappuccino and finished my Catcher in the Rye.

I’m a huge fan of highlighting because it really adds texture for lifeless looking hair. Especially being an Asian-American girl, it’s hard to stand out amongst the million black haired people in the world.
So… what is Balayage? It’s becoming a more well known technique of highlighting hair and many people are doing this instead of foils. Literally, it means “to sweep” and they often use the term “painting hair.” It’s supposed to look more natural and subtle!

I passed by Blow NY randomly in the street and I wondered to myself if this blowdry bar idea would work! This would be a great place for people looking for a styled blow dry look before an event. (Weddings, girls’ night out, etc.)

I last left you off HERE and gave you a taste of my dress shopping journey. Not much has changed since then (in terms of my weight loss). One of my friends analyzed my situation and diagnosed this:
- I am not motivated enough to do it
- I am FAPPY (fat & happy).
Thanks to one of our brides (Miss S), I was able to snag a GROUPON deal for BIKRAM YOGA (1 month unlimited) and really get my FAPPY arse in shape. SO PLEASE KEEP ME ACCOUNTABLE! I will be starting this next week. O! and also, has anyone tried BIKRAM YOGA and have any advice for me.
What else has changed since my last dress shopping? My taste in dresses!
