    I was recently told by a stylist that the purpose of shampooing your hair is to clean and stimulate your scalp.  Well, duh — you might be thinking.  But the stimulating the scalp part actually was a reminder for me because I don’t actually do it! She said that by stimulating your scalp by scrubbing with your fingers, you will actually help promote healthy hair growth.  Hair GROWTH!? Ohh I need that!

    My hair part is currently side swept from the left. But it naturally falls a bit more towards the center left.

    Don’t you hate how you ALWAYS lose hair ties?!?  They go to the same place the 1 sock disappears to.  I buy a pile of those black hair ties from the drugstores once every few months and then they slowly disappear.  So now I have my alternatives and made a lil iMovie video to show you what I do!

    For all you Glee fans… I love this song!

    One advice we like to give our clients, is to bring an inspirational picture (hair & makeup) to the trial. AND to choose pictures of people that have similar hair colors and similar facial features.

    For example, if you have black hair, don’t look at inspirational pictures like:

    Taylor Swift - with her signature tousled updo

    Taylor Swift - with her signature tousled updo

    You will be highly disappointed =(

    I wear a ponytail about 75% of the time.  Mostly because I like to spend about 10 minutes to get ready for work. =)  I love ponytails and sometimes do this one “trick” which is not even really a trick… but I always get comments asking about how I do it. I am usually doing this AS I’m running down the stairs!

    So… here is a quick video showing how I do it! Here’s a really easy way to add a little kick to your ponytail and it only takes 1 minute!
