Here’s an article that breaks down the 5 basic types of skin:

    • Type 1: Oily Oily skin tends to shiny with enlarged pores, and is prone to blackheads and blemishes. You might experience some tightness.
    • Type 2: Combination/normal This skin type has medium pores, a smooth and even texture, good circulation, healthy color, may tend toward dryness on the cheeks while being oily in the t-zone.
    • Type 3: Sensitive Sensitive skin tends to be thin, delicate with fine pores. It flushes easily, is prone to broken capillaries, is frequently allergic and can be rashy.
    • Type 4: Dry Dry skin feels tight, especially after cleansing. You have a tendency towards fine wrinkles, flaking and red patches. In women of color, skin may appear ashy or dull from dead skin buildup.
    • Type 5: Aging or sun-damaged This skin also feels tight with visible wrinkles, slack skin tone — especially around the cheeks and jawline — with leathery texture and broken capillaries.

After years of thinking that I have only Dry type of skin, I was recently told by a very convincing facialist that my skin is actually more on the sensitive side, more than the dry side. INTERESTING….

Growing up, my parents never introduced me to any sports. I was always the geeky Asian kid who played 2 instruments and went to KUMON after school.

So my hand / eye coordination SUCKS! I’m not particularly good at any sports (besides bowling where I’m currently averaging about 150 .. but that’s if bowling counts as a real sport xP).

This is why I love work outs where you have to use your core and find your inner balance to strengthen your body.

I’m helping a couple brides plan their wedding… and it’s very exciting on MY end, but I remember how difficult it was to make even one decision.  There are so many choices for tablecloth, types of spoons, flowers, hair pieces— and they are all equally beautiful and classy. (the two adjectives I think all brides want)

Rule of thumb….. just do whatever you want. There are no rules for modern weddings! Really… do whatever you want!

During our trials, our conversations often take a turn towards weird topics.  Diets, mother-in-laws, bridesmaids’ dresses, childbirth and even gas problems! It came to my attention that there are some brides who may worry about similar things that I had worried about — such as “what if I had stomach problems on my wedding day?”

Of course, the solution to that is watching what you eat. I’ve been eating a lot more Lactaid and Activia because they are supposed to help you digest. I really liked what I heard about Activia yogurt, especially since it’s known for its female-friendly staple to cure tummy woes.”

More about what Activia is supposed to do in order to help you digest here: Read More | Comments

Men may think that women only wear makeup to impress men.  But I don’t think that’s true at all! And to help prove my point, I will give you an example from one of my favorite shows, Sex & the City.  I absolutely love this scene of Charlotte York:

Plastic surgery is not a big deal for us Korean people.  One time, a guy at CVS asked me if it was true that EVERY SINGLE Korean girl HAD to get eyelid surgery at the age of 12 or something. I said “UMM NO?? What a horrible myth!” Who the heck is saying that?! Anyways, Heidi Montag is probably on my, oh top 10 people that annoy the heck out of me.  But she sure got my attention with her ridiculous 10 surgeries in 1 day deal:
