2011 has been pretty darn awesome for me! I met some pretty darn awesome brides and all of who I can now call friends. This particular couple are incredibly dear to me and I am honored to have been part of their special day! Here is part 1 of the 3 part series!~

I 1st met Omar & Leslie a year ago for their engagement shoot. So YES! This part 1 of their post is way overdue!!~But because it’s been a year, all you fall brides have the amazing foliage to look forward too! What a great collection of engagement photos they got! They got to shoot during foliage at the Bronx Zoo and here is the result of awesome weather + great photographer!

It truly is such a small world. When I first met Miss C, we stood there thinking “hmm… I KNOW you from somewhere!” Of course, all SoCal Korean people know each other somehow. Turns out that we met sometime in high school at a dance! And here we are, meeting more than 10 years later in New York! :)

Since Miss C’s makeup was already done, she really wanted to do something funky and cool with her hair style, yet have it classic and stylish.  She definitely wanted the “poof” on top yet have it be more interesting than boring.  (All photography done by JenHuang) Here’s what I came up with:

Miss I took her engagement pictures awhile back on probably one of the windiest days of the year! I had to spray and tease a lot to make sure the hair would stay. She said everything lasted, thank goodness! Here are some adorable pictures from her shoot.

So…. I sometimes like to dabble in photography. When my neighbor/friend asked me to do a very informal engagement shoot, I was excited to dust off my SLR camera and go shooting around the city.  Unfortunately, I had a terrible cold while doing this but I think my stamina held up pretty well because of how gorgeous Central Park is! Plus it helps to have 2 good looking (and TALL) models! :)

I first wanted to do hair, makeup and the photography for Miss E but I think I would have fallen over with exhaustion.  So Miss E did her own hair & makeup while I met them outside and we headed over to the 6 subway.

I met Miss J when she was a bridesmaid for one of our past brides, Miss D. Unfortunately, she is getting married in CA so I can’t make her up for her wedding but YAY! I had the honor of dolling her up for her NYC engagement shoot!

For her makeup, she chose to go a more natural route with big lashes. For her hair, something casual with bouncy curls and at the last minute, we improv’ed braids into her 1/2 updo and EEK! IT WAS SUPER CUTE!

After looking back on ALL her photos, the overall look inspiration was perfect for this couple. Clean, cute, casual, bouncy and just straight up gorgeous!

    Here is my bouncy-est couple!!

I swear, I think my photographer is a ninja. I’ve never seen a photographer whip out teasers this quickly! We took out engagement pictures exactly one week ago yesterday. Et VOILA! Here they are!
