Since Miss C’s makeup was already done, she really wanted to do something funky and cool with her hair style, yet have it classic and stylish.  She definitely wanted the “poof” on top yet have it be more interesting than boring.  (All photography done by JenHuang) Here’s what I came up with:

Since Asians generally have black hair, it’s hard to see texture with “regular” updo’s. That’s why I sometimes encourage having layers or braids, so that you can actually see texture with an updo hairstyle.

A good hairstyle will look good, even from far away

I first wanted to do hair, makeup and the photography for Miss E but I think I would have fallen over with exhaustion.  So Miss E did her own hair & makeup while I met them outside and we headed over to the 6 subway.

Miss E and her fiance have always lived on the UES, so they definitely wanted some pictures of “their” subway stop. Funny story, literally 2 feet away from this shot there are a couple guys getting arrested by the police. I wanted to include them for the REAL New York vibe, but decided that it wasn’t very romantic. I give them props for being able to ignore the scenario just feet away from them!

Did I mention that they are tall? They are very tall.

I love this area of Central Park, I don’t even know what this dome thing is! But the lighting was gorgeous and bright.

This pose seems to be very trendy right now, so I figured I needed to do this Awkward Cute Looking At Eachother from a Distance pose. The entrance was to someone’s very fancy Upper East Side home. Umm… we don’t live here. =)

Here they are, just walking through The Mall at Central Park. The Mall is one of my favorite parts, but I realized that it’s very difficult to take pictures. There are a million people behind you and the lighting is hard to control. There are extreme bursts of light under the trees and it’s hard to even it out. I literally like this shot mainly because of Miss E’s adorable dimple!

Every couple needs this romantic pose! I think it’s gorgeous but this pose is tricky. A lot of people have trouble with this pose because you really have to kick your back heel into your butt.  Also, the guy has to stand with his legs really far apart so that he’s more stable and can toss you back further. I was so annoyed at the girl with the purple sweater in the background and wish I could take her out! (I tried, but my photoshopping skills are not too great.)

Anyways there are a TON to go through but those are some of my favorites! Yay to Miss E and Mr R, who are getting married in September. 2011 has been a hot year for JAC!

MICHELLE PHAN’s lipstick trick (5:22 on her youtube clip) does the magic without having to go out and get another product~

1st = apply your lipliner & lipstick

2nd = blot your lipstick on tissue

3rd = apply powder over the tissue on your lips

4th= reapply your lipstick

It’s like making breaded chicken cutlets! You need the flour for the egg to stick onto. The powder helps the 2nd layer of lipstick stay on.
