Yes, I still got a couple years to go! But I’m actually really looking forward to my 30’s. Why? I’ve heard from friends and articles that women love their 30’s. They say that people in their 20’s are still trying to figure out who they are… but in your 30’s you’re comfortable with who you’ve become.
Who says stuff like these? Well for starters…
You can almost SEE that they are relaxed and comfortable… a smile and expression can go a long way!
I really love these actresses and and feel calm and not panicky when I realize that the big 30 will be coming up soon. I do agree that my 20’s were filled with lots of self discoveries (not all of them were pleasant) and realizing who my real friends were. A lot of the petty things disappeared… but a lot of weird Grown Uppy type of things surfaced that I had never thought about before as a “youth.”
Such as thinking realistically about parenthood or aging and where our parents will live. Or how to “break up” with some friends and realizing how set in our ways we are now. We’re not as willing to be as flexible when it comes to relationships, standards and values — which can be tough!
I look forward to being a mother, having those 1-2 girlfriends that you can count on, becoming your own family, being comfortable in my skin (no matter what the scales say) eating better, working out with my husband, and taking long walks around the park. Does that sound totally boring??? That sounds wonderful to me!
