    Dear Bridezilla

by Carol, posted in Bridal, Self

JAC has been incredibly lucky with meeting amazing and sweet brides that we’ve become friends with. J and I kept exclaiming “we’re SO lucky that all our brides are so awesome!”  Well, our luck went through a detour after our very first horrible Bridezilla experience just last weekend.

To make it worse, I read her awful email right as I was stepping out for Sunday church service. The preachings of “love and patience” collided with my desire to want to fire back at her snarky email to explain in DETAIL why she was in the wrong. (In my eyes of course) I even for a split second thought about creating a website/blog where wedding vendors can warn each other and post up future Bridezillas with their wedding date so we know who to avoid. (IS there such thing?!)

BUT…. we just let it go. We shall TRY to be classy and let our last email (which was extremely cordial and apologetic) be the last word she hears from us, even though she threatened to ruin our reputation and tell the whole world that we suck balls. Read More | Comments

I know I don’t need to emphasize how HUMID and nasty it has been these past few weeks. Last Saturday being the WORST! Ugh… I felt like my face was constantly dripping with sweat! A sweat mustache is just NOT sexy! So I stopped by Sephora to find a fix on spray, kind of like Model in a Model.

Okay, did all you awkward and shy girls just shrink away from this title post? Or did you minimize/scroll down quickly so that your co-workers won’t think you’re reading scandalous stuff? HA! Well this post is particularly about the timidness and oddly taboo nature of you conservative gals.

Now my lovely Miss K model made me think about how to pose for pictures.  Miss K isn’t a professional model so she probably felt weird during the first few dozen shots because my camera was about 12 inches from her face.

I haven’t seen my friend in 2 years because she’s been… well, saving LIVES! :) I love to brag about my super cool friend who works as a PA resident at John Hopkins. My friends who know Miss K would laugh at this post because she’s always known to look like she rolled right out of bed and she truly doesn’t care —  but everyone knows she’s gorgeous anyways! (Like literally, wearing PJs to the market and everything! LOL)

Any Office fans here?!?! *waving hands* I think everyone who is planning a wedding should take a look at Jim & Pams wedding episodes.  (Part 1 and Part 2)

If you knew me well, you would know that I am not the typical romantic. I hate romantic comedies and I often roll my eyes at them. My biggest pet peeve (within love scenes) is when the guy and girl are staring into each others eyes and about to slowly kiss when the bomb is about 2 seconds away from exploding, and the world is awaiting their ability to disable it… I’m the one screaming “OMG, CAN YOU PLEASE DO THAT LATER?!?!?” (Hello, can we be efficient please???) I typically do not swoon about romantic engagement proposals, I hate PDA, had the most difficult time saying “I love you” to anyone, and I used to be a pretty hard core man-hater. GEEZ, how did I ever get married?!

But in a world where everyone gets to change their mind, I’m pretty jaded when it comes to “true love.” The option of always being able to back out is encouraged. They call it “being careful.” No one likes to commit to anything these days — not their jobs, their homes, their hair color and not even their significant others. That’s the reason why I love the OGs. Commitment is so rare these days. Divorces, twice and thrice over… Having a f**** buddy being cool. Treating your gay best friend like your boyfriend/girlfriend… One night stands… Friends with benefits… What ever happened to good ol’ fashioned “regular” love? Love until we die? People love the phrase “growing old together,” but how many people actually experience that?
