Continuing on the process of my eyelash perm at Lavilash.

The whole idea of perming my lashes was to:

1. never have to rely on curling my lashes everyday, saving me minutes in the morning “getting ready” process.

2. being able to stay curled in the humid weather.

3. being able to jump right into the mascara application and not having to worry about whether or not my mascara would weigh my lashes down.

mmmm... crispy!

I would have to say that so far, the only benefit would be #3.  My super-sonic curly lashes definitely stayed curled all right!! Erm, just a little bit TOO MUCH!

The idea of mascara, let alone EYELINER, is too much to ask. How am I supposed to cram my eyeliner brush around my hypercurled eyelashes?!  Well you can do it, but just very carefully and slowly. And mascara?? It definitely didn’t weigh it down, but since my eyelashes were damaged in the process (very much like how our regular hair gets fried & damaged in the process of perming) my lash texture just wasn’t the same.  The lady did tell me to use clear mascara only and use a comb….

One nice thing I’ve noticed from this process is that my double eyelid was REALLY intense. Usually my crease/fold will fall out if I’m tired or when my eyes puff…. but I noticed that ever since I had the perm, my crease is SUPER strong!

One other weird thing is that since my lashes are SUPER curled and touch the top of my eyelid, I would get weird streaky marks on my upper eyelid! It would just look like some dashes across my eyelid…. so weird to even think about something like that!

Overall, I don’t think I’d do this again. I think I’ll just try to find some other way to get my lashes to stay curled. I really dislike the damaging part of my lashes! (I used Rapidlash every night to help the condition!)

XOXO,

C

HAHA, funny and long story. That was so tempted, but may be not this time. Waiting for next generation tech!

Yes, I am hoping they’ll come up with new ways of being able to curl our lashes and make it last!
