It seems that everyone wants this beautiful beach wavy hair style:

I decided to do a lil experiment using this Revlon iron:

Amazon $19.00

erm... excuse my blacked out face. =)

The iron is pretty easy to figure out how to use, but it is HEAVY! (Or I’m just weak) It starts to get heavy after you hold it with the same hand, so I suggest switching hands while you wait for it to curl.  It’s also a bit difficult to iron the back of your head.

The outcome:

My hair was REALLY frizzy so I had to add a little bit of foaming mousse at the ends with some water.

With some mousse:

I do love the outcome and I LOVE how the iron is only $19! However, looking up some photos & videos of this, I realize that this style can look SO DIFFERENT depending on what type of hair you have. I have super thin & dry hair, so it came out more poofy & casual looking (which I like.)  But people who have super sleek and thicker hair, it can look much neater and the waves look more precise. The best thing to do is just experiment with it.  Add some mousse if you want it to look neater, comb out the waves if you want a softer look, etc.

Here’s a video clip of the “to-do” process:
