I’ve never really cared for buying expensive shampoos or conditioners. I bought whatever was on sale that has both shampoo & conditioner in 1 bottle.
That is till my wedding hair inspiration … I have been growing my hair (and I am not done. I need about 5 more inches) for my wedding. So every strand is precious to me. I can’t afford to lose any hair. Unfortunately for me, I am losing TONS of hair everyday.
So when I went to get my hair coated & deep conditioned, I asked my stylist for advice. She quickly took that as an opportunity to sell me KERASTASE products.
I just got my hair played with and my scalp massaged. I was in a state of zen when I bought the overpriced KERASTASE at the salon.
(I love when people play with my hair.)
She suggested I use the AGE RECHARGE line to protect my scalp and prevent hair loss.
STEP 1: Cleanse – Retails for $34 … I bought it for $60
STEP 2: Deep conditioning hair mask – Retails for $58, I bought it for $80
I must admit that I have noticed a significant improvement. My hair hasn’t been falling out especially when I wash it and I’ve only been using it for about a week. Now, I don’t think I will ever pay close to $34 for shampoo the size of my hand when I can buy shampoo + conditioner for $20 the size of my Loki. But if it can promise healthy scalp and prevent hair loss, I might have to skip a meal to scrap up for it!
What’s the most you will pay for shampoo?
& should I go back to the salon and ask how she can rip me off?

I LOVE Kerastase products, and have been victim of their $30-$40 bottles of shampoos and conditioners many times in the past. If I were still working full-time and not mooching off my husband for most of my expenses, I woud still be purchasing their stuff!
May I make a suggestion? Prenatal vitamins! I know many women take prenatal vitamins before big events like weddings for healthier hair & nails. And since I got pregnant and started taking them, my nails have not broken ONCE (and this is without nail polish or strengtheners!), and my hair really does seem fuller, thicker, and not falling out as much.
I started using rogain a few weeks ago and haven’t seen any growth yet, thankfully no side effects either.
