Yug & I have been invited to 5 weddings this year. But because 2010 is also our wedding year, I’m trying my hardest to be frugal.
So I need to re-vamp this dress 5 times.
My dearest friend E* suggests I just bring a new date to each wedding! =D
So here is LOOK 1 : 03/20/10 (L & A’s Wedding)
Here I am in my fake smile. I was so annoyed that Yug forgot to bring his tie, belt and black socks. Thank goodness L & A’s ceremony and reception were in 2 different locations. It gave us a chance to stop by the mall. FYI : a black suit with white shirt MINUS tie, belt and black socks = YUG looked like he was on his way to a funeral! >=X ARGH! It still bugs me that he forgot!
For LOOK 1:
HAIR:
- First I prepped my hair with CHI heat protectant. I am not a fan of curling hair sprayed hair.
- Then I curled my hair with a 1.5″ curling iron to add heat to my hair and then put the curl in velcro rollers. I LOVE these velcro rollers because you get the SUPER volume without the tease!

- I let it set while I was putting on makeup and sprayed it with soft hold hairspray so it doesn’t look rock hard but soft & bouncy
Here’s another way of using the VELCRO ROLLERS:
MAKEUP:
- Shimmery sheer eyeshadow
- 3 pairs of false eye lashes
- soft pink blush
- Burt’s Bees lip shimmer in PEONY
LOOK 2 : 03/26/10 (R & J’s wedding)
For LOOK 2:
HAIR:
- First I prepped my hair with CHI heat protectant.
- Then I blow dried my hair.
MAKEUP:
- I smoked out my eyes with taupe and browns but at the point my picture was taken, the makeup was already 13 hours old. BAH! I forgot to touch up BLEH! As long as the bride outshines everyone!!!~
So the biggest difference between LOOK 1 & LOOK 2 is the hair and shoes. But I’m sure no one paid any attention to the shoes.
Help me re-vamp for LOOK 3. Any suggestions? I won’t be working at the LOOK 3 wedding, so hair & makeup will look a lot fresher than look 1 & 2.
:HAIR: Let’s take a vote
A – curly updo (Eva Longoria) … LOVE the makeup on this one too!

B – straight half up / half down, from the front it looks slicked back but from the back it looks half up / half down (BEYONCE)

my choice is curly updo; i’m not a big fan of the slicked back look
I like choice A’s hair and makeup.
Also, instead of a black cardigan, maybe try a colored cardigan or even a blazer jacket. Or a colored necklace. Or a belt. Have fun with colors!
- Judy: my mom ever so honestly but lovingly .. let me know that the slick back look would make my face look fat. LOL ..
- Mrs.S: YEP~ choice A it will be! Also, awesome advice on adding a color other than black to the overall look! I am on the hunt as I type this for a cute blazer and belt!
Spectacular piece! This really is undoubtedly by far the most broad write-up on this subject matter. Appreciate your your time and energy, I am going to revisit look into the messages
lol a few of the remarks folks enter are silly and unrelated, at times i ponder if they honestly read the articles and reviews and reports before posting or whether they only just read over the subject of the blog post and publish the very first thing that comes to mind. in any case, it is really enjoyable to read clever commentary occasionally instead of the very same, traditional oppinion vomit that i mainly notice on the net
HEH. A different date. I’m still laughing over that comment but still semi-serious… >:P
