OK I know I’m a day late on this… but I just have to talk about the womens ice skating!! Although I’m American born and I always root for the US, I couldn’t help but hope this amazing 19 year old would make the gold. If you happened to witness the very special night that South Korea won the gold medal, then you saw Kim Yuna make history!

Since there were a lot of Asian ice skaters, I couldn’t help but notice of their hair & makeup. I knew that it’s not their biggest priority and that they probably want something that doesn’t get in their way… but I secretly wished that all the girls wouldn’t keep their hair in such a small, tight bun! Oh well! =)

I also noticed with the rest of the world, that Kim Yuna is BEAUTIFUL… and gals… she DOESN’T have the “double eyelid” and she actually has very common Asian features! So hurrah, there’s hope! Here she is, all glamorized. O what a difference makeup makes, right? Given— this pose is probably not the best for her since it makes her eyes look really small.

Here’s the type of makeup I like on her… It’s VERY Asian magazine style, but it’s clean & classy!

I also noticed that she has “crooked” eyes, which I think is actually really cute! I don’t think women should fuss over looking perfectly symmetrical… even though supposedly that’s what humans are attracted to.

Congrats to S. Korea for the win! (FTW!) The ice skating was intense!!
