Ever since a friend of mine got married on 07/07/07, it’s always been my wedding dream to have a cool wedding date.

I’m bad with dates. Yug & I don’t celebrate our dating anniversary because I never remember. Last year, I threw Yug a surprise birthday party only to find out that his birthday was the week after =( Yes, I’m THAT bad with dates.

I tell everyone how my wedding date (12/12/10) is FAR from what I envisioned my wedding to be (a winter, sunday wedding <screams nightmare, no?). But the more I fall deeper into wedding plannings, I’m smacked into reality that it really isn’t about the date more than it is about the marriage.

Anyways!

When Mrs. S hired C & I for her 09/09/09 wedding, I couldn’t help but feel super jealous. 1st of all, she looked absolutely GORGEOUS, 2nd… she had that awesome date!

Mrs. S had the super chic NYC city hall wedding! There’s just something about this couple that’s so raw that makes you realize it’s not about the centerpieces, party favors or letterpressed stationary but really about committing to each other.

For her makeup, I used a soft shimmery purple to highlight and a bold strong purple to create that deepset crease. I used:

MAC eyeshadow:

- Beautiful Iris (soft shimmery purple)

- Trax (deeper purple with a gold over tone)

- Vanilla (soft nude color for her brow bone)

For her hair, C braided the bangs and swept it to one side to create that glam look. Soft curls that just sat right behind her right ear. Mrs. S purchased a birdcage but instead of having it cover her face she had it scrunched up under her flower pin to give more of a dimension.

Lastly, you can’t have a super chic NYC wedding without a shot with an authentic NYC taxi!
