I was dying to go to my usual hair guy (John Q) back in Cali, but he was soooo far from where I was staying, so I had to search in finding a good salon in Oldtown Pasadena.  (Having no car in So Cali really narrows down the choices.)

I found Ravissant Hair Salon on Yelp.com and saw that even though it only had 6 reviews, but it had 5 stars!

Yelp was having a deal where you get 20% off for first time clients. A one color treatment was about $60 but styling cost $35 (eek!) which I didn’t know until I was checking out! However, I really liked my hair guy Keya.  I made an appointment with Marissa (who was recommended) but she bailed on me last minute with apologies and I was given Keya instead.

My sister and I both had Keya together because we wanted bonding sister time and we actually ended up getting the same hair color and styles. We loved it! He really seemed to care about us and made sure we were happy.  I was on a time crunch so he got me out of there quickly.  Even though I was not expecting to spend about $90 on a hair color/style (usually a simple blow dry comes free doesn’t it???) I was still happy with my “do.”
