2009 was a year blessed with LOVE! A total of 8 engagements (including mine), 3 weddings and 2 baby births.
06.06.09 – We were featured on the MONTAUK SUN as Yug & I are avid fishermen in Montauk.
Caption reads: Romance aboard the MISS MONTAUK: Dan & Jina had a few keeper fluke, but Dan was fishing for another kind of “keeper.” He asked Jina to marry him, and she said YES. Now he has a fishing partner for life. Congratulations!
It’s always an honor for me when my friends ask me to be a part of their special day in any way possible. Having been part of the event planning & wedding industry has made me quite useful when it comes to anything wedding related.
So when Jane asked me to doll her up for her engagement shoot, I was thrilled!
Here are the products I used to create the look.
Eyes: soft champagne’s, peaches and shimmery brown using the TOO FACED Neutral palette
and of course, the BIG FLUTTER-y false lashes. I wish you can see the makeup better in the photos … but hope the photos explain why it’s necessary to PACK on the makeup for photos.
Hair: (I will do a tutorial shortly on how to use a NON-SPRING loaded (a.k.a. MARCEL irons – see image below) iron soon)
- I first sprayed her hair with heat protectant and then started curling.
- After I set the curls, I spritzed with a little hairspray to help keep the curls in place but still give it that soft, flowy look.
1.5 hrs later … TADA!
Congratulations again Dick & Jane! Can’t wait for the wedding!

the hair was perfect!!! there wasnt a loose curl anywhere, every curl stayed the whole day! i loved the natural look of the makeup. It was a perfect application! thanks so much for being part of my day
