Today is my 2 year wedding anniversary! I can’t believe it’s already here!

Year 2 of being a wifey!

Obviously, hair & makeup was VERY important to me, so luckily I loved my hair & makeup….But I paid a LOT for it.  It was also not the best experience because it was chaotic and not special. I was just a number —  I was getting married on the same day as 9 other brides there!! We were all crammed together in this crazy, hectic, Korean salon.

HOWEVER, I was happy in the end since I was able to get the famous Jessica Lee to do my makeup!

Honestly? She is amazing. She totally can make you have that flawless, perfect look.  ANOTHER BUT—she costs $300 for makeup alone. (AND that was the price 2 years ago, so who the heck knows what it is now?)

*I'm not sure if this is just a west coast thing, but typically the groom sends the bride flowers and a card on the morning of the wedding. It was so sweet!

Sorry to this woman… but she looks SO MUCH BETTER AFTER!!!  So the question of — “does hair/makeup really make a difference?”  The answer would be a big YES to some people! I heard that $300 for makeup alone is not even that big of a deal anymore.  And this doesn’t even include travel! There is someone in the SF/Bay area in California who charges $1000 for makeup alone! (Anyone know who I’m talking about?)

My wedding day is when JAC Beauty was actually born.  I couldn’t believe that I couldn’t find an Asian makeup artist who could travel to me, is somewhat affordable and did a decent job!  My cousin Jean (the other J in the original west coast JAC) did all my bridesmaids’ makeup.  She may not be famous (yet) but I think she did a fab job!! We became officially JAC BEAUTY shortly after that.

Yep.  One of my best friends dyed her hair blue just to match my bridesmaids dress! That’s how hardcore our friendship is. *beat chest 2x*
