As soon as I moved to New York, I reconnected with an old, old friend of mine from elementary school! She’s still cute as a button and I still remember what she looked like when she was little!
For her birthday, I did a mini-quick session makeover for her. Literally, we were rushing so I did this in about oh… 25 minutes! I didn’t have time to do her hair, but I swear—fake lashes already does so much!

Mrs. S before & after
Can’t you imagine her as your 5th grade best friend? =) She’s already married, but we both found out that we had Jessica Lee as our bridal makeup artist! We agreed that she was awesome, but the hair part was a hit or miss because it’s such a crazy Korean salon and you never know what’ll happen to your hair. Plus a non-traveling makeup artist is so annoying for your wedding day!!

If anyone knows this girl, they know that she is so funny! Just like all the other non-models out there, I knew she was probably not too comfortable with me taking pictures just inches from her face.
Can you tell a nervous smile….

From a real confident smile?? =)

Typically I like to take about 20-30 pictures before I’m able to get 1-3 “comfortable” smiling pictures! Near the end, people tend to loosen up a little. I tried making a model out of her, and asked her to act “surprised” while looking up—-a funny model pose that I know we’ve all tried with our friends!

But hey… ! Doesn’t it work?! I think she looks great! Thanks Mrs. S!

very nice and natural look. She´s really pretty!
hey isn’t she Sally from the OC??
yes it is! how do you know her?? what a small world!! (she and I, C, are elementary school best friends!)
