I found a great untapped resource that will help your wallet during these tough economic times. Yes, beauty is pain, but beauty is also expensive! My great resource was my Internet Best Friend, AKA Craigslist . Although there are risks, Craigslist has successfully found almost all of my jobs, internships, my precious cat, roommates, and most of my apartments.

First I hit up Craigslist’s beauty section, and I was able to find a good handful of ads that needed Hair Models. I always thought that you needed to be a model in order to do these types of things, but turns out you don’t! Most of them ask that you do send a picture first, but I’m not sure how big of a deal it is. I decided to risk it and go to one, and they called me right away. When I came to my appointment, I was pleased to see that the salon was incredibly chic and gorgeous— definitely the most high end salon I’ve ever been to!
