In all my days of doing hair/makeup, I’ve noticed that Asian women have these different types of hair.

THICK HAIR:
- thick, curly, wavy and impossible to get 100% straight
- thick, tons of hair, impossible to keep curled

THIN HAIR:
- super thin, no volume hair, impossible to stay curled
- no hair, super thin hair almost to the point of balding
- thin, dry and damaged hair

I think the majority of people have trouble with volume… getting it in the right places at least! I’ve heard of an interesting tactic of cutting a strand of hair to about 2-3 inches underneath the top part of your head, and then perming it so it will always give you volume! Maybe I’ll try that one day. ;)

However, here is a more temporary tactic you can use for random occasions.  You basically roll up a strand of hair and pin it down with a bobbypin. Then you put the rest of your hair over it and hairspray it so it stays put!  You won’t have to worry about your hair losing volume because the “bump” will keep it up! This would be an alternative to teasing–which can be damaging to your hair if you do it too much. (Although I personally LOVE to teaaase!)

COOL! love it. I live in an area with only white people… and they don’t know how to do my hair. It’s really frustrating…:)
