JAC Beauty

I never really knew how to explain to non-Asians, one of the struggles Asian women face when it comes to applying eye makeup. Especially if you don’t have a 쌍깝풀. << (a crease on your eye lid)

Exihibit A:

Sandra Oh - of Grey's Anatomy

Till I came across the term MONOLID from youtube user MULZANZA about a year ago.

And youtube user, JINAHCHAE gives hope to all Asian women!! The smokey eye look is possible on MONOLIDS.

No, these tutorial won’t end with you looking like this:

Ayumi Hamasaki - Japanese actress turned Korean pop sensation

But isn’t it good to know that there are others out there struggling with the same problems and amazing YOUTUBE-ers teaching us how to DIY?

      First:
      YOU should love yourself, monolid or not! ( – . – ) or (O_O) or (0_0)!!!!!!!!!

      Second:
Look at celebs Sandra Oh, Lucy Liu, Devon Aoki, Bai Ling or korean singer Boa, … are very beautiful asian women, some of them monolids and some not!!!
I have dubbel eyelid because I’m mixed and I used to find it strange :( most of my family members have monolids!!!

      Third:
If you have monolid and you don’t like it , TRY false lashes ( tip: you will create double eyelid)!
With little bit of make-up you can create wonders!!! See befor and after pics from jacbeauty

i love that i don’t have the double lid and i like these tutorials that show different options for us. :) i may have to try it out – i love that smokey look. i don’t think i’ve ever had a smokey look successful. i should try it out. :D

it sucks cause everyone in my family has a double eyelid except me..
its not that i don’t love my face, its just harder for makeup..

    4. [...] recently sent me this really interesting message and it inspired me to share with you guys some MONOLID [...]

I think you have the wrong Ayumi because Ayumi Hamasaki is a Japanese singer, no acting relation with Korea. Ahyoomee is the Japanese actress turned Korean singer. They look similar, but you have the wrong person.

    6. I signed up to RSS on this blog. Will you post more on the subject?
