I recently got engaged!~
My Yug & I plan on having our wedding early fall of 2010. Which means that I have plenty of time to GET IN SHAPE. But before I even start talking about my 3 W’s (weddings, weight, worries) ::::
let me start with a little intro to J’s weight~
Growing up, I’ve always been normal. I was always at 110 – 115 which is perfect for my 5′3 height.
Over the past 3 years that I have been dating Yug, I have gained a disgusting MASS of FAT. REASON for my weight gain???
1. Happy weight: I’m not like most others. When I’m stressed I tend to NOT eat because of the irking, anxious, stress butterflies in my stomach. I’m more of a happy eater~
2. Yug is a monster and needs to be fed in pounds: My Yug has a freakish metabolism that eats away at whatever he intakes that very moment it reaches his stomach. Plus, he runs about 10 miles every other day. So whenever we go out to eat, we literally order food for about 4 people for the 2 of us.

3. I started to scarf down food: I used to be an incredibly SLOW eater. I can’t swallow my food unless it’s literally chewed to nothingness in my mouth first. But what I noticed is that when I eat with Yug, I find myself racing to eat my food before he gets to it. =)
So, as embarrassing as it is for me to share this weight loss journey … I’m hoping that this will help me be accounted for and motivate me to run the extra mile.
WEEK 1: lost 3 lbs
WHAT I DID: (disclosure: these aren’t how to tips, just J’s journey to weight loss. Any advice and suggestions would be most helpful and appreciated)
- I stopped eating past 8PM … which is social suicide for me because that is all my friends & I do when we meet … EAT
- Ate in portions and in moderation. I didn’t really cut out any food groups. I ate anything and everything but watched how much of it I ate.
- I listened to my body when it was full and didn’t over indulge.
- started running consistently .. I re-joined my gym about 2 months ago but all I did was weight training .. << which didn’t really work for me without cardio.

I’m the same as you!! I don’t have an appetite when I’m anxious or nervous but when I’m happy I EAT! (which explains why I lost 5 lbs right before the wedding and my dress was too big!)

I drink a glass of water before every meal and I stop eating after 7 pm!! But I love food that my mom makes (can’t live without) soooooooooooooooo that’s why I’ll never go ‘Hungry Diet’!!!

awwwwwww good luck with the weightloss! i’ve gained weight too – but i look at it as a lifestyle change more than weightloss and it’s been working for me.
you’re a beautiful girl, inside and OUT. your are really pretty, you have a great heart and with/without the weight loss i still find you one of the prettiest girls i’ve ever met
